Have you ever been on a date from hell? Unfortunately, I have to say I have been on a few, but that tends to go with the territory if you are in your 30’s and single

Each year, I pull out of my library Verne Harnish’s ‘Mastering the Rockefeller Habits’ to re-think my business strategy and develop some smart systems within the business to increase its value.

It’s been a very big start to the new year and in many ways I am incredibly grateful. Business is booming and opportunities are out there for the taking. I have also given myself a new role in the company that I love so much – Marketing Eye.
I am chuffed! Dean Morelli from epayroll.com.au met with me today after having engaged Marketing Eye on the 1st November, 2010, to provide marketing services for 12-months and said the following;

Helen has a wealth of experience and has worked with all the big labels in town with more than 15 years experience in marketing international prestige brands.
Like most companies, Marketing Eye has monthly sales targets and each month for the past year, we have either exceeded it or at least matched our own expectations.

It pains me to remember when the business was just me. Even though I have always had staff, I remember when they couldn’t make decisions without me and I worked 16 hours a day just to ensure that everything was 100% perfect.

It can happen! All it takes is a good hard look at your brand, your value proposition and how you are communicating it to the market – and of course, a Marketing Eye.

When I speak to any really good communicator, and ask them what is their secret, they always say that they listen.

Listening to what your customers, staff, friends and family need to say to you, whether it is positive or negative is often the most powerful thing you can do.
