Marketing Consultant Shares Insights blog

Yes, I am a Millennial...which means I’m likely lazy, entitled, and on my phone while writing this. Those are just a few of the generalizations made across my generation, most of which you and I know to be true. What you don’t know is that we are a more self-aware generation than has ever existed previously, and this is going to change your brand one way or the other.

It's 2019 and we now live in the age of easy. The age of short attention spans. The age of Simple. This is primarily due to a shift in the current leadership demographic. Regardless of the industry,

While all business owners would love to have the entire world need their offerings, marketing to that many people is not only unrealistic, it’s also ineffective. Believe it or not, narrowing down your target audience is actually one of the best ways to improve your sales.

As a business owner, marketing may not be your first priority, but it should be. Today, having a marketing plan for your business is as critical as having a phone number.
How many times have you been called up or emailed about someone trying to sell you on their “services”? Well more times than not, this is turn off for many executives and decision makers. This is the case for a few reasons, so let’s take a look at why:
We hear this story all the time from clients:

“My product and/or service is amazing!
It has so many capabilities and endless possibilities- it can do this and it can do that…
We need to do this and we need to do that right now!”

While the end product is in fact amazing, these entrepreneurs are so head deep into their product that it consumes them. It consumes them so much to which they have lost sight of their initial goal. Establishing their brand. Yes, It’s great that your product does so many things and will be able to do much more in the future, but ask yourself “Is my brand well known right now?” if you answered no then take a step back and focus on pushing out current content that tells your brand story. Once your product has traction then you can start releasing and pushing out new content.
