Have you ever cut of your nose in spite of your face? If you think that you haven't - ever - then perhaps you are kidding yourself. We have all done it in life and our careers. It's the lessons we learn from our mistakes that often take us to where we need to be. We've all heard this many times before, and without sounding like a broken record, it needs reinforcing. No matter what age we are or what stage we are in our careers, we will make mistakes, choose the wrong option and be afraid to the take risks that might just lead us to where we want to go.

When a marketing student graduates, there is so much uncertainty, especially in the current climate. As a company that fosters growth in young graduates, we are determined to help people that are embarking on a career in a profession that is ever-changing, dynamic and technology driven.

As a Marketing Graduate we will on-board you to Marketing Eye in a way that allows you to see the full breadth of what a career in marketing will look like. We work with a variety of different industry sectors including technology, biotech, medical, health, logistics, manufacturing and professional services.

Atlanta is most well-known for iconic staple-marks like Coca Cola, the Braves, the airport, and Southern cookin’. But did you know Atlanta is also known for Trap music?

Atlanta based rapper, 2 Chainz, has said in a recent Instagram post that he “Gave my city an unforgettable experience that the whole world took notice to… that will be carved down in history!!”

So can Atlanta actually add a new landmark to its books?
Do you really know your internal brand? What the people in your team think about the company, management and each other - and how that is portrayed outwards?

Today I decided to be brave enough to ask my team in Atlanta what our brand is internally. I asked them to be truthful and to not be shy in saying what they personally think my internal brand in their office is.

I was surprised, impressed and felt like we had all done something right because their thoughts on our internal brand were everything I would dream for a company I worked for to have.
Before it gets too hot outside I have to share a tradition we have at Marketing Eye Atlanta- FLANNEL FRIDAY!! All work and no play makes life barely bearable. In this office we truly live the expression “work hard, play hard.” When you have this many creative people in one room self expression is inevitable. Flannel Friday
The question is often asked of our people at Marketing Eye : "What do you do that other marketing firms don't?". And the answer is quite simple.

While other's are now using the term "outsourced marketing department", few have actually defined it quite like we have at Marketing Eye. After 24 years in the industry, I have learned a lot from both succeeding and failing. From these learnings, I have developed a series of systems, processes and ways in which to improve our capability of delivering world-leading marketing strategies to businesses seeking a high growth return.

The difference is from start to finish

The most amazing thing happened yesterday. I went to a pool party in Atlanta and a guy came up to me very excited at the opportunity to finally meet me. He had never met me before, but had heard things about me. But his real reason for wanting to meet me is that he is a "fan" of my blogs, tweets and really anything I put on social media.

Not the creepy type of fan. The genuine person who appreciates honestly, vulnerability and someone who is fearless in sharing her real life.

So, I thought I might start a few blogs about who I really am.

The mentor

It seems strange to use this word because I feel like I am not old enough or experienced enough to be anyone's mentor, but it just so happens that I am a mentor to a lot of people and that is something I have to take seriously.
I was in New York sipping champagne courtesy of Waldorf Astoria's fantastic service, mingling with the rich and famous mostly because I was in the right place at the right time, and breathing in all that this fast paced, inspirational city has to offer.
When asked today what I think a Marketing Executive would need to have that they may not have needed a few years ago, my answer was simple. "A Marketing Executive must be a social media expert."
There is one thing that has stood out for Marketing Eye in Atlanta and that is our capability as branding experts to supersede much of what is designed locally and produce fresh, innovative and high impact brands that stand out.
